Thanksgiving and Thanksgiving Day

Thanksgiving is celebrated the fourth week of novemeber each year. When people think of thanksgiving they think of food and football to go with it . In 1621, when their labors were rewarded with a bountiful harvest after a year of sickness and scarcity, the Pilgrims gave thanks to God and celebrated His bounty  in the Harvest Home tradition with feasting and sport (recreation). To these people of strong Christian faith, this was not merely a revel; it was also a joyous outpouring of gratitude.

Reflection:

This is very true because it just reminds us that when soemthing is bad we just shouldnt do it because it lead into bigger concicuences. like for example when they tell you not to smoke they are telling you this because they know it would be harming your body. And you also shouldnt say things that just arent true because you will end up looking bad or having people just not trust you no more. 

Dental Assistant 

Duties and Responsibilities:

• seating patients in the treatment area.
• passing requested instruments to the dentist during dental procedures.
• sterilization and preparation of instruments.
• taking impressions of teeth for study models.
• polishing clinical crowns.
• exposing and developing X-rays.

Salary: $23,550-$47,580

Education: 

There are no formal education requirements for entering a career in dental assisting. Some assistants have a high school diploma and only receive on-the-job training; however, postsecondary dental assisting programs offer more comprehensive career training.

Dental Lab Technician

Duties and Responsibilities:

• full dentures for patients who are missing all of their teeth
• removable partial dentures or fixed bridges for patients who are missing only one or a few teeth
• crowns, which are caps for teeth that are designed to restore their original size and shape
• veneers that enhance the esthetics and function of the patient
• orthodontic appliances and splints to help straighten and protect teeth
• Dental technicians work with a variety of materials including waxes, plastics, precious and non-precious alloys, stainless steel, a variety of porcelains and composites or polymer glass combinations. Many technicians acquire skill in the use of sophisticated instruments and equipment while performing laboratory procedures. It is important for the technician to help create tooth replacements that are both attractive and functional.

Salary:

$19.46 hourly

Education:

They could recieve there education in a two year collage if they want to.

Well this makes me sad in a way cause many people died while fighting for our country. But it also makes me proud cause they loved there country enough to die for it

Dance movement therapist use movement and dance within a therapeutic environment to help individuals of all ages who are experiencing physical, psychological, emotional or mental problems

Salary:  

 $40,000-$50,000 a year.

Education:

Therapy graduate programs educate students in the content areas of psychological theory, human development, multicultural perspectives, group process, behavioral research.
